December 13 – Lucia
Lucia means saffron buns, mulled wine, and a choir procession in the Bistro of candlelight and song – a beloved Swedish tradition we’re proud to carry forward.
December 23 – Uppesittarkväll
We invite guests into the kitchen to taste the freshly baked Christmas ham, served on malt bread with mustard and a cold Christmas beer. It’s also the perfect occasion to sample the classic Jansson’s Temptation.
December 24 – Christmas Eve
Join us for a traditional Swedish Christmas lunch – a festive smörgåsbord featuring pickled herring, smoked and cured fish, Jansson’s Temptation, meatballs, sausages, and pâtés. Naturally, it all ends with a sweet dessert table. Price: 895 sek
At 3 PM, we’ll be showing Donald Duck and His Friends in our Chambre Séparée – a cherished Christmas Eve tradition in Sweden. As evening falls, we continue serving our regular Bistro menu, complemented by elegant dishes inspired by Tore Wretman’s classic Christmas plates.
December 31 – New Year’s Eve
Full à la carte menu in the Bistro – with additional options of both cold and warm seafood specials featured on the blackboard! After midnight, the bar keeps the cocktails flowing, and the kitchen serves late-night bites for those feeling peckish in the early hours.
We’re continuing last year’s successful tradition with our New Year’s Supper in Matsalen the hotel’s beautiful old chapel upstairs. Expect caviar, oysters, and truffles for the final and most luxurious meal of the year. This year, we’re also giving you the chance to start celebrating early with a festive lunch.

January 1 – New Year’s Day
The day after the big celebration, many might find themselves in need of a little comfort. Our kitchen serves a hearty brunch in the Bistro, featuring dishes like croque monsieur and burgers. The bar stands ready with a Bloody Mary cart for those in need of a little extra support.
